Spring time

 

I am so happy that its warm again. I can't deal with the cold and lucky enough, we had a super short winter here. What are some of your favorite parts about spring?

Mine are bare legs, bare feet, the breeze, the sun, the flowers,....oh and  recently Aaron and I had a picnic out at railroad park with friends and I totally fell in love with that too. We all packed some lunch stuff, a good bottle of wine and we just sat on the ground eating, laughing, people watching...and animal watching of ourse and catching up! So that is one thing that I hope we get to do more while the weather is perfect.

LFS and Monday's

Happy Tuesday Friends!!!

This first week of what I thought was going to be one of the toughest weeks I've ever had has turned out to be really incredible. I've already realized how much Aaron and I would have missed out on if he would have had to be away for work these next few months. Everyday I realize something else, big and small, that we get to share together now that he didn't go and it's super exciting for me. So, I'll just catch you up on a few things that's been going on in my world!

First things first, we got to share the gender revealing of my cousin/best friends baby. She's having a girl. I can't wait to be Auntie Bri Bri, although I'm not "technically" the baby girls aunt, I can't wait to act as though I am! Get ready Mr. Evans...we will be babysitting AWHOLEFREAKINLOT <3

Over the past weekend, I went to Huntsville to spend time with my Bestie, Frances. About a year ago, she started her dream business, Ledgewood Fine Stationery. It's been really fun seeing it grow very very quickly. She had an event while I was in town, so we spent most of our time working on getting ready for that. I also added new stuff, tweaked and worked on her website a little bit. So fun!!! I could literally lose hours of my life working on websites and never get tired of it. You can check that wonderful beauty out HERE! I have to say, its been really fun being able to be a small part of something that someone is so passionate about.

 

The event was at this little boutique in downtown Huntsville called Indigo. The owner was the cutest and so so sweet! My mom came to visit us and I loved getting to spend time with Frannie's momma, Mary Mac!!! I've missed my MM SOOOOOOO much!

Anyway, like always my weekend trips to see Frances are never long enough. I really miss her! BUT, one thing I can say about us is that distance hasn't changed our friendship one single bit. We pick up right where we left off every single time.

Monday's are both mine and Aaron's off day, aside from my BodyFlow class that I teach. 

(oh BTW, if any of my flow-ers are reading this...I sure hope you are as sore as I am from class Monday! It's no fair if the instructor is sore and her students aren't) Anyway...back to what I was saying, Monday Aaron and I had a little Coffee Date! We tried Seeds for the first time and we are sorry to say that we just didn't like it. Sorry to all you SEEDS lovers, the flavor of the coffee was really disgusting. Aaron said my drink tasted like Broccoli Cheese Soup. YUCK!I don't even like Broccoli Cheese Soup when its supposed to taste like Broccoli Cheese Soup.

 

Although we didn't like their coffee, we did like the atmosphere of the place. So, we probably will go back but not for the coffee!  The decor is awesome!! The rest of Monday consisted of 'Last Man Standing', An hour of practicing and preparing for my BodyFlow Class, an hour and a few minutes of the Gym with Aaron  and then another hour of BodyFlow and I'm pretty sure my students will never come back because it was a super hard class. I'm still incredible sore. Soooo I guess you can say Monday consisted of lots of my favorite things...Spending time with Aaron and working out:) Not a bad way to start the week at all!

 

And this weekend we are OFF TO TEXAS and I cannot wait!

Weekend FUN

Hi Friends

It was a fun fun weekend!!

This was my last illustration of summer time.  **sigh** you all know I love the warm weather and sunshine. BUT I also love boots and scarves so I'm okay with fall weather. Winter....not so much, at all. 

I've been doing these commissioned illustrations for people. They are really loving them for Christmas gifts. I am having a blast creating them :) Please contact me if you're interested.

Saturday I went to the Farmers Market with Aaron and Bucky. 

It was super crowded as usual and I love it. I spend most of the time petting and obsessing over animals there.

Oh we also went to Karaoke with my Heather! It was so funny :)

Yesterday I worked and then went to Trucks by the Tracks at Railroad Park. We walked and ate and also visited Good People on the way out.

Today I have the day off...WOOOOOHOOOOOO so today so far has included breakfast with Aaron and Bucky, playing my Ukulele <3, Aaron made us some fresh juice....and the rest of the day will include a pedicure, whole foods, teaching Body Flow, Dinner with Mel B and Christmas, and then Mad Max!

So a fun filled off day!!!

Friends & Food

Hello There!!

I have been so busy and have abandoned my little space here that you all know I love so dearly. So I wanted to catch you up on life a little. 

It's crazy how things work out. Sometimes they are definitely not how you thought they would, but its always for the greater good whether we think it is or not. I never....ever saw myself working two jobs. But when I know what I want I don't care what I have to do to get it. I'm a girl on a serious SERIOUS mission. Working at an art gallery and working back at RH is so F U N. 

I love love love working back at RH and even more so than that, I love working with Christmas and Donnie. Those guys entertain me all day long. 

I've also had some good G O O D cooking this week. I don't know what I did to deserve such awesome friends {who can cook}but I'm super thankful for them.

Along with all of that food intake....YES I have been getting some good workouts in. Speaking of, Monday, I taught Bodyflow and even now, on Thursday my legs are still sore. Talk about a good one. If you are in the area please feel free to join the Bodyflow {yoga & tai chi} class on Monday, Wednesday & Friday at 4:30.

Friends, its almost the W E E K E N D.

Unfortunately, I work all weekend long. But hey....remember, I'm on that serious mission so I don't even care!

TO ME!!!

It's my 27th Birthday friends.

I will be working all day and then having fun with my friends.

B E A C H on Sunday with the fam. So, Ill be celebrating with them while we are gone!

It's going to be a great weekend and a great week next week in Florida!

I can't wait wait wait to see my friends Whitney&Michael and their cute baby Charlee Bea.

Weekend recap!

HEY HEY!

It's my favorite day of the week.

So today is kind of a big day. Not for me, but my best friend since high school William Berry is graduating from freaking LAW SCHOOL today! WHAT?!? Seriously, if you would have told me fourteen years ago that Will would be doing this, I have to be honest I would not have for one second believed it.  CONGRATS Best Friend! You've worked super hard and I'm so proud of you!!

This weekend has been a little blah. Yeah, the weather was not on our side.

 

 My Thursday, Friday, and the rest of the weekend were pretty great. 

 

Carrigans Thursday night with Melissa. OH and fun happened after that. I rode with Melissa to Pelham to our first job out of college. We went to Rocky Heights to kidnap Chris from working all night. Gee that place on Thursdays was always the death of us all. But, at the same time it was always so fun. I loved working there with those crazy kiddos. If it weren't for RH I wouldn't know the people who I get to call some of my best friends. It was fun....random! but fun!

 

Okay so FRIDAY is where the fun and exhaustion begins. First of all, I started off the morning with teaching Body Flow! As soon as I finished that class I got a text from another instructor asking if I could sub for her class! So I did. That class was from 11:45 to 12:45 and then at 1 at met Raeghan, Reisa, and her Boyfriend Zach and  we all went to First Ave to climb. It was fun. Unfortunately I had a terrible migraine and didn't get too many climbs in. I also blame the fact that I had taught two BF classes back to back. I was already exhausted and it was just past lunch. 

After that, I rushed home to meet my bubs when he got home from school :) Love my little bubs. Then I C R A S H E D but only for thirty minutes. I had no time to sleep too hard. So then I woke up put my tennis shoes on and headed outside in the beautiful weather to kick my own tail with a HIIT workout. It was for real death....like terrible. Anyway so I had two minutes left in my work out and the time was 6:02. Raegy text me with those two minutes left and said they were meeting at 6:45 to head to the movies! WHAT....yes. Read that again. It was 6:02....at this moment I have sweat literally dripping from my elbows {gross} and I needed to leave my house by 6:30 to be there on time. 

So what do I do?! I run full sprint inside. Jump in the shower, wash my hair with body wash because I forgot I ran out of shampoo! Talk about frustrating moment! STRUGGLE. So I get out, throw clothes on. Brush out my wet hair. Throw on foundation. Put shoes on. And run out the door. Talk about looking a wreck!!!! Gee. So anyway. I did however make it on time. I actually beat them there! haha. 

Anyway so Friday hanging out with my sisters was perfect and much much needed. 

 

Yesterday I worked a wedding with Angela Blake Photography. Gosh I love working with her. She's so fun! The wedding was at the Donnelly House. Its in downtown Bham. I've been in a wedding there before, my friend Amber's wedding. So I don't know about the weather where you were yesterday, but bless that poor little brides heart the weather over the Donnelly house was terrible, unpredictable, and not pretty. So she finally made the call to have everything in doors and that was the exact call that she needed to make. It poured down out of no where!!!The wedding still turned out beautiful and they had some very entertaining dancers to say the least. 

After the wedding I randomly ran across Will, having a little pre-graduation celebration. So obviously Melissa and I joined him for a little bit. Then we ended up hanging out with our friends Daniel and Chris for a bit at good ole Black Market. 

I absolutely LOVE Birmingham Weekends. 

 

Well friends. Happy Sunday to you. I'm heading to pick up a little, squeeze in some yoga, and then head off to celebrate my best friends accomplishment!!

FUN Freakin Weekend!

Hello SUNDAY!!!

You guys, this weekend has been so fantastic. 

First of all we will start with the weather!

Could it have been more perfect?

I do not believe so. 

My weekend consisted of all of this goodness.

Seeing John & Jacob play in Chattanooga. First of all, Chatt is such a cute town and second of all, I got to see my best friend from Elementary School who I havent seen in 14 years! Seriously, thats insane! We picked up like we never skipped a beat. Love you Mere!

And of course seeing John & Jacob is always a blast. 

Saturday night was spent at a new venue downtown! Saturn! Seriously, if you live in Birmingham, you MUST check it out!!

And today was the usual Sunday. Church and lunch with the fam, now I'm about to head out for dinner with friends and then back to Saturn for some more music! I absolutely love this town and the people in it!

Slumber

Good Morning Friend!!!

 The past two nights I have stayed with some of my favorite people!

Tuesday night I stayed with Francelina Mae. Saturday is her birthday and since she is going out of town for the weekend, I thought well heck, Ill just surprise her on a random week night!

So, after talking with her husband, I did just that. I think she was very very pleasantly surprised!

It was FUN! We did some major catching up since I haven't seen her since BEFORE I went to Hawaii!

Little Lucy escaped the photo somehow. Eeeeeee gee I love that pup! Maybe I just love animals in general. Anywhoooooo It was awesome seeing my bestie!!

So Wednesday night I ended up having another slumber night with my friend Melissa...or as I call her Mel B. It was fun. Mel B was working on a project. I researched things in Montgomery, and then we planned her some outfits for a couple of events this week. She has this MASSIVE walk-in closet that any girl would love! It was so easy to see every option that she had! Girls got some serious clothing and SHOES!!! So it was pretty simple to find something!

Slumber parties are way more fun when you're an adult! First of all, you can have them any night of the week that your heart desires. No parents telling you, "It's a school night! Absolutely NOT!" You can stay up how ever late you want to. It really is just way cooler when you're an adult.

Anyway, HAPPY THURSDAY! 

I have some pretty fun things planned this weekend! Friday consist of practicing new body flow choreography with Lyssa Lou, and Saturday consists of music at Avondale with some friends!

OH also, today is kind of a big day for me and I need some prayers and good vibes sent my way! Thanks in advance!

ALABAMA: Catch Up

Goooooooood Morning Friends!

I have had a pretty good time being back in Alabama.

I love being able to see my family!

I really do love being back. It is NOT pretty here. The colors are dull and the scenery in most areas are just dull and brownish. But, despite that, there is something special about this place. Downtown Birmingham nights have this unspoken charm. This city is growing and i love seeing it and for now, I will continue to be a part of that!

I love being back with my family. I love being back with my friends. I love being back in Birmingham. 

I miss MAUI, Gypsy, and the Blessings terribly terribly bad. But, at least I did have loving and good things welcoming me with huge loving arms when I came back. I will make this time here full of adventure, excitement, love, and FUN and loads of new memories!!!

I hope you will continue to enjoy the story of my life right here on ibB!

The Move!

This is how I feel when I see a brown cardboard box!

I am wrapping up the final day of MOVING. 

I am officially completely moved to Birmingham and I am SO excited.

Of course I will miss Florence, but its time to be here now. 

Its going to be a great move. 

My little space is coming along nicely.

Gee I have had some awesome help over the past week.

{Mom, Dad, Brady, Nanny, Paw Paw, Uncle Brian, Auntie Stacey, Grandmommy & Grandaddy, Uncle Eddie, Denny, Nean, Babby} and praying I didnt leave anyone out!

I could NOT have made it without these people. 

Especially my Dad and Mom! they have helped me with this move more than I could have ever asked them to help me and I am SO thankful!!!

I'm ready to be completely finished. 

There are a few more things I need to get taken care of so I am able to work from there. So until then, I will continue to work from my parents house. 

I can't wait to share photos of my cute place.

Weekend Catchup!

Hi hi hi!!!

I know I've been MIA for a few days. But hey, what can I say...

I blame this good looking guy.

So here's how the weekend went. 

Friday I worked. We went to the Summit, had dinner, and went to the movies.

Dinner was really good. We went to Village Tavern. 

The movie was ummmmm just okay I guess....{Mockingjay}

OH and we went Urban Outfitters so I could get some B&W Polaroid Film!!! YAY!!!!

Saturday was F U N.

it consisted of Dunkin. Bailey Brothers. J Crew { H E A V E N }. Barnes & Noble. Sumo. Gap.  AE. Express. and McCalisters. and I think thats all.

Oh we also watched 22 Jump Street which is reallllly FUNNY!

That's about it. A freaking fun day! Oh I also wanted to go hit golf balls at the driving range, but then forgot to do that. oh, next time for sure!!

So....Its officially Thanksgiving week and I am so excited.

A- because its a short work week

B- I love family time

C- I live for black friday and people watching

It has begun...

Hello There!

As you know, my last few days with my little buddy Gyp Gyp are passing by quickly. On Sunday, I drive to Atlanta to send her off on her way to Hawaii. It seriously breaks my heart. So, right now, I really dont want to ponder on it, so on to the next subject....

I am MOVING to

B I R M I N G H A M 

permanently. Well, you know what I mean....until God is ready for me to go elsewhere.

When I temporarily moved to Birmingham to watch after Gypsy for a few months, I was dead set that I was NOT staying in Bham, and that I was absolutely definitely going back to Florence. So, over the past few months, I continued to fork out rent money, while my apartment sat completely vacant. Although, I will say in my defense, I did stay in Florence most of October!!!! I love LOVE my little space in Florence. I made it a place that really reflected my style, as well as a place that I could really call home!

After I was in Birmingham for about two months or so, I realized I hadnt for one second missed Florence or even thought about it, unless I was writing out my rent check or paying other bills. The only things I would be missing out on from Florence are FRANCES and her family, as well as Epic and my other friends from Florence! {all of which I can visit at any time!!!} I was having so much fun here in Birmingham that I hated the thought of leaving. So, why not stay?!?!

I sure am going to miss the heck out of my cute little space <3

This week I started up the packing process. DEAR LORD!!! This is going to be a task and a half! I packed for a good four hours on Monday, and only completely packed up my Kitchen. My sweet best friend stopped by on her lunch break, brought me boxes, and we had lunch together! YAY!

 I will be heading back later next week with some good ole help from my momma and nanny {fingers crossed} and we will finish up the packing! So by the end of next week, I should be completely moved out!!!

I am glad that I will have the task of moving to keep my mind off of Gypsy being gone!

Change of Season Style

Hey loves!!

Okay, how about this weather this weekend. I wish it would stay forever. I love knowing that fall is basically here. But, I always feel like that here in Alabama our fall is only here for a few days, and then all of the sudden its

 G O N E.

Maybe fall will grace us with its presence a little longer this year!! I sure am hoping so.
