The Start to 2 0 1 5

Hi! I know I know....I've totally been out of the little blog world for nearly a week.
So, as I told you in the last post, Harry surprised me and came to Birmingham early which was super awesome!

On New Years Eve we went to Frannie & Brent's house. F I N A L L Y my best friend got to meet Harry. Good lordy, I can't believe she is just now meeting him!!! And like most people....I think both her and Brent loved him!

So here are photos from the start of the NEW YEAR. And it's off to a wonderful start and I know it will only get better with every single day.

Here's a recap of the last week....
Wednesday night we welcomed in 2015 with the bestie and some other fun couples.
We stayed in Madison at the Ledgewoods {I just love writing that..."The Ledgewoods} and basically slept almost the whole day.
I think Harry and I finally left their house around 1ish or so and we were starvinggggg SO the first order of business was F O O D and someone {not me} wanted Pizza.
We had lunch at Pie in the Sky and I have to say, I dont know if I was just super hungry or if it really was just great food. Either way it was good and our server was a sweet girl. After food, we went to Bridgestreet to the Monaco and saw Horrible Bosses 2. Ummmm I laughed pretty hard through the whole movie. I have been to the Monaco before but our movie was only showing in the Prive Theater. 21 and up+Alcohol {if you'd like}+leather reclining seats = Prive. So basically this theater was the bomb and I loved it! haha :) After the movie, we slowly made our way back to Birmingham.

Friday, I worked....S L O W L Y. I just got new internet and guess what, I am already ready to cancel it! BLAH!  So my whole work day was spent trying to get T H R E E....yes, you read that right, three files to send! Gosh I was so frustrated. Oh I dont mean I only worked until 5. I was at it until about 9:45. Gosh I was so irritated. Thank God Harry was there to keep me sane and he is smart and understands all of that internet techy stuff which I don't at all! haha so YAY for that :) I probably would have completely pulled my hair out if he wasnt there to help. Despite the crap internet, our Arby's Dinner completely made up for the entire crappy work day. Let's just say that this was the first time that Harry saw me cry. BUT It was a good cry! It was from laughing so hard. hahaha! Oh my gosh, BEST DINNER EVER! and who can say the best dinner of their life was at Arby's. I will never forget it....ever.

Saturday was A M A Z I N G. Finally, Harry got to have his Christmas Gift. So, I got him tickets to tour all of the spots in Atlanta where the Walking Dead {and catching fire, and  Zombieland and other movies/shows} is/was filmed! Our tour guide, Patrick, has been a Walker on several episodes. Really, if you love TWD you definitely need to go on this tour! There are two of them. We went on the first one to make sure that it was good. Well it was FANTASTIC and we cant wait to go on the second one! really....I can't wait!
Just to name a few things we got to see on Tour 1.... We got to see the Hospital where Rick wakes up at the beginning of the show, the police station, and my FAVORITE...TERMINUS!!!!! oh my gosh I was flipping out. The train car and everything was there. It was WAY cool to see it!!!! Those are only a few places that we saw. The tour is three hours long so you get to see a whole whole lot!!! I can't wait to go back!!

After TWD Tour, we went to the World of Coke. I have been before but it was Harry's first time. He is a HUGE coke drinker. I think he liked it!! It's a fun place to see and you get to taste all of these kinds of Cokes from all over the World. We also got to try a limited edition Coke which was Gingerbread Coke! It was soooo delicious. It was a good time. We took some fun photos. Im pretty sad though because yesterday I realized that I didn't get one polaroid while we were in Atlanta.

We stayed in Atlanta until sunday afternoon. I honestly wasn't ready to leave because I love a city hahaha! BUT I have serious work to get back to!

So, as you see, my first week of 2015 has been Fantastic. Unfortunately, Harry goes back to Montgomery today and that my friends makes me sad. I hate seeing him leave. Thank God I am a pretty independent gal and know how to keep my mind off of it. But, I am not for a second going to say that long distance relationships are easy, because they aren't at. all. Oh gee, but thats a whole other post all in itself.

Well friends, I hope your new year start has been as fun as mine has!!
Remember this is only the beginning. Make 2015 your year!!

Bye for now,

I can't believe it...

Hey Hey!!!

Guess WHAT!
This weekend I F I N A L L Y {after probably more than 3 years of wanting to do so} got certified to teach BodyFlow! I am SOOO incredibly excited.

It was so awesome to see the changes that I made over the weekend fine tuning my poses. It amazed me how the smallest adjustments just intensified everything.
My trainer was INCREDIBLE and so soooo inspiring! Her passion for what she does just overflows and you can't help but want to soak up all of her overflow! Gee she was awesome!

I cannot wait to instruct my first class! wooohoooo!

Discouragement turned to Courage!

Hey Hey!!!

Today, I feel the need to share a few thoughts that I have been having. I am sharing partly because maybe this will encourage someone else, also because for me writing how I am feeling helps me think things through and understand things a little better. It's the best way for me to gather my thoughts and get back to the clear vision of the path that I am on! I'm just going to be a little transparent in this post, so I hope that from this someone else will be encouraged.

This week for me has been a roller coster of emotions. Monday was full of crying. Tuesday and Wednesday was full of hard work and happiness. Thursday was also full of hard work, and then huge frustration and ended in huge disappointment. Friday, I am determined to be a day of simply being thankful for this life I have, the creativity I have, and the opportunities that have been given to me. I know that everyone has weeks like this. Heck, some people have years upon years like this. But, these past few weeks I have been so discouraged with building my business. I knew this would be a hard endeavor but I never knew how hard. It's definitely not for the Faint of Heart.

If you don't know exactly what I do, please let me explain that really quickly. In a nut shell, I am a graphic designer. But, to be specific, I work with photographers retouching their images as well as do design work here and there! I love what I do and really take pride in my work. I have learned very quickly these past few months that like most artists, all photographers are drastically different in their style and how they like things done. I knew this from the beginning and decided it was something that I can handle. I'm learning! And this is where the discouragement comes. If you know me, you know I am a little bit of a perfectionist. So when someone isn't just over-the-moon crazy about my work, that hurts my pride a little bit and I immediately want to fix it and get them exactly what they want. To a perfectionist, really this is a shot in the gut and is a hard pill to swallow...not sometimes, but every single time.

How I handle the discouragement can really take a tole on me taking risks that could have really rewarding benefit. If I am being honest, my biggest fear is failure and having a few rejections can quickly make you feel like you're directly on the path to failure. Although this is tough for my perfectionism, I am learning that discouragement isn't just there to get me down. Its an opportunity to grow and to actually practice being courageous! Being courageous, hard working and using the skills the God has given me will have a much more rewarding impact on my life than fear of failure and rejection will have.

It's so important for me as an artist to simply remember that I AM AN ARTIST. Everyone see's differently. Everyone works differently, but that doesn't make me any less of an artist. I have learned to take the opportunity of discouragement and use it to my advantage to count it as a learning experience and chance to build my courage and determination!! If you're reading this and feeling like you're reading your life story, please know you aren't alone! Love yourself enough to believe whole heartedly in what God has called you to do and trust in the gifts that he has given you!

Happy Friday Dear Friend!

It has begun...

Hello There!
As you know, my last few days with my little buddy Gyp Gyp are passing by quickly. On Sunday, I drive to Atlanta to send her off on her way to Hawaii. It seriously breaks my heart. So, right now, I really dont want to ponder on it, so on to the next subject....

I am MOVING to
B I R M I N G H A M
permanently. Well, you know what I mean....until God is ready for me to go elsewhere.

When I temporarily moved to Birmingham to watch after Gypsy for a few months, I was dead set that I was NOT staying in Bham, and that I was absolutely definitely going back to Florence. So, over the past few months, I continued to fork out rent money, while my apartment sat completely vacant. Although, I will say in my defense, I did stay in Florence most of October!!!! I love LOVE my little space in Florence. I made it a place that really reflected my style, as well as a place that I could really call home!

After I was in Birmingham for about two months or so, I realized I hadnt for one second missed Florence or even thought about it, unless I was writing out my rent check or paying other bills. The only things I would be missing out on from Florence are FRANCES and her family, as well as Epic and my other friends from Florence! {all of which I can visit at any time!!!} I was having so much fun here in Birmingham that I hated the thought of leaving. So, why not stay?!?!

I sure am going to miss the heck out of my cute little space <3
This week I started up the packing process. DEAR LORD!!! This is going to be a task and a half! I packed for a good four hours on Monday, and only completely packed up my Kitchen. My sweet best friend stopped by on her lunch break, brought me boxes, and we had lunch together! YAY!

 I will be heading back later next week with some good ole help from my momma and nanny {fingers crossed} and we will finish up the packing! So by the end of next week, I should be completely moved out!!!
::bitter sweet::

I am glad that I will have the task of moving to keep my mind off of Gypsy being gone!
HAPPY WEDNESDAY FRIENDS!!!

Bye for now!

Every single week, I spend hours....HOURS of my life online. I think we all do, whether we want to admit it or not. But as I was browsing online the other day I started thinking about all of the things I come across each week; just random things, but things that really either make me think or rethink things, or things that just simply make me smile.

So, I decided, I will put a list together each week of the things that I have rambled across each week, just to share a little bit of online happiness.

Dinner. Fair. and an Infectious Smile.

Hey hey!!

My weekend was super incredible. It was full of fun, great surprises, constant laughing, good convos, and a whole lot of memories.

It all started at Highlands Bar & Grill downtown.

You know a great guy when he actually ask you on a D A T E that he has thoughtfully planned out rather than asking you if you want to meet up for a drink {and conveniently for them, they are already at the place they asked you to meet them at. Ha! You're all a joke}!!

Here are some photos from the entire weekend!

{The Fair}

{O'Henry's Coffee}

{yall...he surprised me with a Boston Bruins hat. Seriously!!!!}

{Hops City 2nd Birthday!}

{California Pizza Kitchen & the Equalizer}

{O'Henry's Again!}

The wonderful weekend ended with church.
Really it was such a Fun Fun F U N weekend with someone who is incredibly thoughtful with a smile that is infectious and lights up every room.

I hope you enjoyed our photos!!!
That's all for now
