Music Midtown Trip!

Hi hi!!!

This weekend is going to way too much fun. 

My best guy pal {William} and I will be having a three day road trip to Atlanta.

Music Midtown is happening on Friday and Saturday. We are 

B E Y O N D excited!!

We have been waiting and waiting on this weekend to get here for what seems like forever. We are seeing some really great artists! Despite the horrible schedule, we both know that this trip will be one for the books.

I'm so excited about the lineup for Friday! However, the scheduling is a little whack. Jack White & John Mayer are at the same time. WHY? Makes absolutely Z E R O since. Also, Iggy & Lorde overlap. No. Crazy. Stupid.

I am sure it is very very hard to do the scheduling for an event like this, but really?? When MM released the times a few weeks ago, social media blew up over the conflicts. Not good. I think everyone has cooled off a little now. I'm still just as excited to go, just annoyed that I'm having to CHOOSE between John & Jack, Iggy & Lorde.

Saturday is a pretty great lineup too! I'm just really excited for a fun trip. I'm excited to hang out with Will all weekend. I hope I can keep up with his crazy high metabolism. 

Tonight Mel B & and I are doing a little shopping so I can start getting everything ready. I will be back for a post on what I get on my shopping trip tonight!

Perfect Weekend

This weekend has been way too much fun for me and apparently exactly what I needed.

Friday the weather was gorgeous and I was lucky enough to call it the weekend a few hours earlier than normal. 

I spent the rest of the afternoon sitting outside laying in the grass with gypsy and soaking up the gorgeous blue sky. I felt like a hipster so carefree. It felt pretty amazing.

Saturday Gypsy and I may or may not have stayed in the bed until AFTERNOON time. You know I am an early bird and N E V E R do stuff life that. It was so relaxing and something that I can tell today, that I really really needed. Sometimes I have to remind myself that I am an insanely hard worker and I DO deserve some downtown every now and then. When its deep in your soul to work your tail off in everything, sometimes its hard for us to grasp the "take a rest" mindset. We constantly are wanting to see results, so if we slow down, we don't see results fast enough. Sometimes its good though to just grasp that mindset and do it, whether you want to or not. In that moment you might be itching to get back to working on something, but later you will feel the results when your body feels rested. For me it gives me MORE drive to start back and tackle things. If you're life me and an over-achiever at life, give the "take a rest" a try.

Yesterday was Frannie Mae Mae's first BIG shower. It was so great seeing everyone from downtown that I had gotten so close to. All the PSI crew was there and it was great great seeing them. I definitely need to swing by there more ofter and visit them.

My family also came up to Florence for the shower. Love love love them for that.

It was a gorgeous time and Frances and Brent had a great turn out and got some great gifts.

OH one thing I did MISS THE HECK OUT OF this weekend was RAEGY! Oh my word. I miss you lady :(

weekend recap

hey hey hey!!

How was your weekend?? Too short?

YES mine too...always.

Let's see to recap my weekend, I went to Huntsville for a fun Saturday with MM!!! We just talked the whole way about wedding stuff and the Bride :) It was great to spend time with Mary Mac. Things have been so busy lately that I hardly ever see them. 

We had fun. Did a little shopping and MM racked up on wedding weekend clothing! 

Sunday, I spent time with my church family back on the bike trails at Wildwood. We cleared off more trails to make it easier for bikers. Such a fun time getting to know people.

I also got in a g r e a t workout on Sunday. The gym was dead. no one was in there at all until I had about 20 minutes or so left of my workout. It was awesome...so Sunday is obviously the day to go if you just want to be alone!

Tonight, Frances and I had our typical Monday night Hot Tea date. We go to the gym, kill ourselves, then relax over good convos, venting, ranting, laughing, and chatting all while sipping on some of the best tea!! Love love loveeeee Frances. We have the B E S T friendship on the planet I do believe.

Tomorrow, Francelina and I are doing a little bit of modeling for Audie Mescal. Its at an event at the Marriott, but just to be honest, I don't even know what the events for and who all is involved. haha. I just know I am wearing an oh so adorable dress!! Too bad my legs are WHITE! yikes. oh well. 

I'm off for some early bed time....gym super duper early in the morning.

Weekend via Instagram!

Another eventful weekend unfortunately had to come to an end! I'm always sad at how fast they zoom by. I partially think that its my fault they fly by so fast because of how much I try to squeeze into two days. I can't help it though. I love staying on the go!! 

Here are a few photos from my weekend starting from Sunday and back tracking to Friday.

Sunday night I went to Concert Esperanza. It was a benefit worship night for Hope House in Honduras. They had several worship bands, took up donations, had a silent auction for art pieces <3, and several other things! I had such a great time. I got to see some of my favorite people. ONE of which I haven't gotten to see in SO long. TRES KENNEDY!! Holy gee batman...he's teeny tiny!! Love you Bubs! SO ill right now that I didn't get a picture. Next time for sure!

Before the Worship night the whole Fam went to the UAB baseball game. Raeghan is a Diamond Doll so we were there to see her and cheer on the Blazers. It was a good game but the weather was what was so incredibly perfect.  

Saturday I went for a run with my mom. I met a friend along the way. A cute pup with a bag of goodies. He followed me home. oops. Saturday mom and I also went to Sephora...

We had to!! Just HAD to!

Saturday night, Raeghan and I had ourselves a little date to see a sappy love story movie. 

Oh and more importantly PANERA. y u m.

Friday night I drove from Florence to Birmingham. Just drove and sang my heart out the entire two hours. so freaking fun. I love driving places. I love being on the road. 

My auntie and uncle had a cute valentine party at their house so I went there for a bit. Then my near life long best friend Will came and he, Rae, and I went to Starbucks downtown and chatted until they kicked us out. It was a super fun and chill night!

Frances and I also hit the gym realllllly early on Friday to get in our last workout TOGETHER for the rest of the week. It's not the same working out without her. Not as fun!!! WEDDING ARMS <3

Okay! Thats my weekend. I'm off to CLEAN my apartment and y e s it is ten after eleven p.m. but no biggie. Who needs sleep.

Raeghan!

This nerd is coming to stay the weekend with me.

I'm a little {a lot} excited to spend time with Raeghan. We haven't got to see each other in a really long time. Well except for last weekend but that doesnt count because it was only for a few hours. She's the one that actually gave me the nickname bB. So I blame her that "Last name that starts with a B." is on my list of things to look for in Marriage Material. ;) Kidding {sort of.} Come on...I just want to keep my nickname true.

It's going to be such a fun weekend.

Oh EXCEPT that someoneeeee {justinbarnett} isnt going to be in Florence. Lame.
