Bitter Sweet

Today is a bitter sweet day for me. Working at PSI is what got me back here in Florence and I couldn't be happier about living in a town that is thriving with creativity and is literally exploding. I l o v e Florence so so much and am so thankful that I am back here. Working at PSI was great for the most part, but like every job there were some things that I hated. But there are also things that literally brought out a person in me that isn't me. Someone mean, someone angry, someone bitter, someone disrespectful, etc. {I know thats horrible but TRUE} and if you know me...you K N O W that those are the furthest thing from Brianna characteristics. DO NOT get me wrong. PSI is a wonderful business and the people are great. I will definitely be missing it. 

So this is what I am trying to get to...Today is my last day at PSI. I will miss working with my Best Friend {Frances} every single day. I will miss Tommy Tank and his HILARIOUS moments of just speaking the Gods-honest truth. He's SO honest. I will miss Aubrey & Lee!!! These two guys are truly some of the greatest guys I have ever met. SO SWEET! Aubrey gave me the most RANDOM projects that needed time to play with an figure out. I always loved those projects. Lee just liked me so much he never gave me any jobs to do! I will miss Darrell's sarcastic and witty remarks :) LOVE them...so hillarious. I will miss Mary the cute office manager and our nail polish talks, as well as her talking me off the edge of the cliff. I will miss John Charles who got stuck in the elevator {he is so much like my little brother}, I will miss taping, glueing, assembling, stuffing, folding, and repeating all things Stationery for the BEST fine stationery specialist in the SHOALS. You are AMAZING at what you do Frances and I'm SO sad when I think about us not working together. I'm going to miss being downtown. I'm going to miss my walks to Rivertown. I'm going to miss regular customers like sweet Miss Jane. I'm going to miss pretty bright girly things all around. I will miss Lou asking me about CODs why they aren't paid. Of course, there are TONS of things I will miss, and I could name these ALL DAY LONG. 

I couldn't pass up the chance to really be able to use the creativity & talent that I was given. I have been patient. I have worked hard and it feels good to know that somewhere along the path, someone saw my passion, love, & dedication. They didn't just see it, but they REMEMBERED ME for it, and they appreciated it. Oh appreciation...I'm not even going to go off on a tangent about that.

So Like I said in the beginning, today is COMPLETELY Bitter Sweet and I hope I can keep myself together today. Tommy Tank, Frances & I have a coffee venture this morning!

Charlotte Fun!

Hey dearies! 

You know I was in COMPLETE Heaven while I was in Charlotte! Being around clothing day & night was completely amazing!!

Here are a few photos from our trip.

Sandra & I had the BEST time. I never imagined it being as great as it was. We picked up so many great lines and restocked on the lines that we already love so so much. 

I loved meeting gorgeous Mrs. Judy from High cotton Ties. She was so precious and she made some delicious cake. I met so many wonderful people and seriously had such a great time. I got to talk to Sandra and get to know her a little more. We had some really great bonding time:) and I loved it!!!

Another part of the trip that made the trip so awesome was something that most people probably wouldn't think twice about. But, it honestly made my weekend! It was my first time meeting & working with the guy in the last photo. When we walked into the showroom, the first thing I noticed was his WWJD bracelet. And I thought well thats by far the coolest bracelet I've seen all weekend. Come to find out, he is actually doing mission work in Spain. I don't think he realized how much talking to him made my day. It really put things in perspective for me...he said a few things about his story that made me realize that I need to re-prioritize my life. I realized yesterday that I should never be in this place where I feel like I am close enough to God. I want to always want more, to be closer...I can never have enough of him. I realized that I've become comfortable where I am and thats the furtherest thing from what I want. I had a completely different view on my relationship and priorities when I left that room. Its just the coolest thing to think that even right in the middle of an appointment at an apparel mart that God can completely transform my view. I just love it! and the icing on top of the cake, D gave me this amazing Koozie that I have been obsessing over for months!!!

Again, I had an amazing time on my trip to Charlotte with Sandra.

& I can't lie...today at work was insane trying to get back in the swing of things.

I might or might not be fighting my eyelids as I am typing this now!

Twenty-Five BEFORE Twenty-Six

Hey there!

I know I am a few weeks (or month, plus some) past my 25th birthday, but I wanted a pretty looking list for my motivation;) So here it is friends....This years motivation.

Last year, I chose not to have a goal list, 24 before 25, and I feel like that year was the most least productive year of my life!!! I am beyond happy that this year that wont be the case because I will be tackling this list full force, with lots of smiles, laughs, tears, memories and so much more I cant even imatgine. TWENTY FIVE is going to be a FANTASTIC year!!!

AWESOME week!

Umm can you say AWESOME week?!? Yep I do believe so.

I was a little overwhelmed at the beginning of the week with so so sooo much work. I might have had a few breakdowns. Thank GOD I work with my best friend in the entire world. Frances understands it. So, she can talk me through anything that might be driving me insane on a stressful busy day!

Wednesday was the B O M B. 

About an hour before my break, I hear the door to PSI open.

From my computer in the very back of the store, all I could see was a silhouette of a very familiar hat.

J came to see me!!!

He's so stinkin precious. I just love him to death! I didn't want him to leave. gah. BUT he'll be back in  TWO weeks for Handy Fest. <3<3

Thursday was BUSYBUSY helping Frannie Mae get ready to go off and stock PSI up with some fantastic Merch! She is gone to the Gift Market in Atlanta. 

She has sent me some pictures of GREAT things that I can't wait to get my hands on.

Well I dont know what the plans for the weekend are...Homework, illustrations, and hanging with friends is what I am thinking. 

OH and meeting Baby Charlee Bea Tomlin and visiting her momma and daddy!!!
