Aaron and I are finally back from our honeymoon and it was an absolute wonderful time with my

H U S B A N D!

Wow, it feels real real nice to say that ;) So let me start off by saying planning a wedding is tough t o u g h and it takes a lot of energy and time to do so. That's pretty much the main reason I've been MIA from my blog here and the fact that my laptop bit the dust. Thankfully, my sweet man got me all fixed up with a new MacBook. So now I am finally able to blog again!

So a wedding is a day that a lot of ladies, even as little girls, dream of for years and years. But, to be quite honest with you, I never could picture myself getting married...until I met Aaron. I knew I always wanted to get married but I couldn't ever picture it because I hadn't met the right person. Putting all the time and effort into planning our wedding was worth every single ounce of time, energy, and stress because our wedding was a DREAM for me. Everything was absolutely perfect, horrible weather and all and its a day Aaron and I will remember and look back on for the rest of our lives together! I cannot believe I am now

HAPPY NEW YEAR 

my friends!

2016 was seriously an incredible year. I learned so much about myself this past year. 2016 had a lot of amazing times, but along with those were some rough times. I made friends and lost some friends. It was important for me to realize in 2016 that no matter where God puts you at certain seasons in life, that you're there for a reason. It might not make sense in the moment but later when you look back on things, you see them so clear and are so grateful for where they brought you. 

2016 was also the BEST year of my life. I am now an engaged woman and so head over heels in love with the person that God so specifically created just for me! Aaron Evans has made this year one I will never forget. We made so many fun memories this past year and they are ones that I will hold onto for a lifetime. 

Its now officially 2017 and in just a few short months I will be walking down the aisle to marry the man of my dreams. Ahhhh Mrs. Brianna Gail Evans sounds sooooo good ;) haha 

I spent my new years day with my sweet Bucky! Yall, I swear...holidays s u c k when you aren't with the person you love most. All day I was just on the verge of bursting into tears. All DAY! And I'm not ashamed to admit that at all. There's just only so many ways to keep yourself busy and some days you're just exhausted from trying to stay so busy just to keep your mind off of it. Anyway....our sweet baby Bucky is always right next to me making sure I'm okay. He's the sweetest pup! He must have learned it from his daddy!

My goals for 2017 are to be the best wife that I can be to Aaron. I can't wait to be his wife and I pray that God allows me to be the best version of myself just for him. I also want to stop letting fear of failing hold me back. I honestly feel like there are so many talents that God has given me, yet I sit on them year after year not fulfilling my purpose here. This year I really want to let fear go and stop sitting on the talent that God has given me. I also want to continue on fitness journey. The past year I have really really enjoyed spending a lot of time at the gym and I want to learn more and push myself more than I ever have before.

Engagement Photos

Hello loves!!! So much has happened over the past few weeks and its all so wonderful. We MOVED into our gorgeous new home and I am obsessed with decorating it. I will be posting a "home tour" eventually. But patiently waiting to make everything look perfect. Another amazing thing about our new home is its a street over from my auntie and uncle so we've loved having them so close! We've also been able to see my parents a lot more too since moving! 

On to other things....I got our engagement photos back and YALL, OMG they are so gorgeous. Angela Blake is the bomb! Can't wait for our wedding day and to see what magical images she captures on the most important day of my life!

Eeeek! Wedding planning is SO much fun and I'm so excited that I get to relax and just take in every single bit of this time in our lives. Life is hard and it goes by too quick to miss out on things that are most important to you. I am definitely going to absorb all of this that I can!

Planning Away

Hi Loves!!

Since being engaged, everything seems like a whirlwind. I want time to slow down a bit. I don't want these next two months with Aaron to zoom by. I dread him being gone for 4 months and I want to do most of the planning with him here so he can be involved. On the bright side of it all, when he gets back, its just a few weeks left until we are married! 

I love love loved my family being such a big part in this and helping us plan!!

We have decided to get married on Saturday, March 25th. Gosh, it will be here before we know it! It makes my heart so incredibly happy! We have planned a lot so far. We've got our venue! We know who we will be using for catering...YUM! We know the colors we will use! We are currently looking for someone who can handle all of the entertainment at the reception, which is going to be WAY too much fun. We are actually meeting with someone after work on Monday!

Yesterday, I went and tried on some dresses. I was a little down because last Sunday I went as well and just didn't find anything that WOWED me! So, yesterday I finally found two that really made me feel like Aaron's Bride <3 After much thought, listing out pros and cons, trying to envision myself in each dress, there was one that I just couldn't walk away from. So today I have made my final decision on the dress that I will be come Mrs. Evans in! HOLY COW! 

Y'all I seriously can't wait to marry the man that far exceeds my dreams!

WE ARE ENGAGED!!!

Hi Hi Hi!!

So I am totally ashamed that it has taken me an entire week to write this post. But in all fairness, I've been walking in this crazy fantasy cloud since it happened and we've already been in a whirlwind of planning.

So last Thursday started like any other day. The early morning 5 am drive to Aaron's to see him before he heads in to work. He acted the same as always...Sleepy and always sweet. The doggies and I sent him off to work as always, then I cuddled on the couch with the pups for a minute before heading off to the gym and to walmart!

Friday was Aarons Birthday, so on Thursday when he text me and said his whole office was going to lunch together, I didn't think anything of it. They will come to Jimmy Johns every once in a while and Aaron will stop by to see me. It always makes my day!! SO, again, I didn't think anything of it! I was excited because I thought I was actually going to get to meet all of the people he works with. 

So after the gym, I came home, got dressed for work hopped in my JEEP :) and headed downtown. I worked the morning away. The time flew by and before I knew it Aaron was texting me saying that he didn't have much time for lunch so to hurry outside! So, naturally I shot up out of desk, grabbed my purse and headed out the door. 

When I got to the bottom of the studio stairs, I opened the door and to my surprise my handsome man was standing at the door with the most gorgeous smile on his face. He grabbed my hand and started saying something...I didn't hear a thing he said. I just saw his mouth moving. Hahahaha! 

And then I asked him what he said...He said something about being nervous. And then he said some other stuff. Happiest Man. Love of his life. Something else...It was all running together and I was so overwhelmed I honestly couldn't even comprehend what was happening! Then he got down on one knee and had the most beautiful ring I have ever seen! He then asked me if I would marry him and I so happily said YES! 

I am still so shocked that I wasn't bawling my eyes out. When things like that happen it takes me a little bit to process it all. I think its my overthinking habits that get in the way! But either way, that was the best day of my life and that was only the start of it! 

We did in fact eat Jimmy Johns afterwards. But I was just so shocked and in awe that I get to marry the most incredible human being on the planet that I had no appetite at all to eat. I was in my own little love bubble with Aaron just floating around. After lunch it was time to get back to work. We had a shoot that afternoon and it took every ounce of concentration I had to even make it through the rest of that work day. All I wanted to do was see my HANDSOME man! 

My Ring is SO PERFECT for me. It's everything and so much more than I ever imagined it would be, just like the man I get to marry!!

After work, we were supposed to be going over to my aunt and uncles house to celebrate my nanny's birthday! So when I got off, Aaron met me there and I rode with him! The whole drive we just talked about how everything had happened that day and how he just knew that now was the right time:) and he's right! It was the PERFECT time! So as I got out of the car at my aunts house, I hear this sweet sweet song about marriage playing out from there house and as I walked up to the sidewalk, it was lined with rose petals and candles. SO PRETTY! I quickly realized when I opened the door that this was indeed not a party for my nanny for Aaron and I! And of course he knew and had planned the whole thing. I was so SO excited to see all of my family there to celebrate us. When I looked around the room and saw my best friend who drove from Huntsville standing there, that's when I lost all control of my tears! It meant the world to me all the hard work and how perfect my auntie, uncle, mom, dad, and the girls made that party for us and to see all the people I love most there for me on such a special day!!! 

We just had such a fun time celebrating. We watched the video of the proposal happening and it was SO sweet. I can't wait to watch it again! 

I have TONS of photos from the engagement party, but for some reason the disk they were on, isn't working properly, SO I will post those in a separate post all on their own! There will be LOADS of them!!

So now its time for some WEDDING PLANNING! I feel like we have already dove head first in and its going to be a fun ride along the way :)

Thank you to everyone who made that day so special to me. But most of all thank you Aaron for choosing me every single day and loving me on all of those days good or bad. You are my person and I am SO thankful that God put us together. I can't wait to be your wife and to see what crazy adventures are ahead of us! LOVE YOU!!

I hope you all enjoyed my proposal story! I wouldn't have changed one single thing about it. Aaron did SO good and totally caught me completely off guard. I had no idea that was going to happen that day. I literally just thought we were going to Jimmy Johns!
