Creative Share: BBQ Calzone

Hi there lovelies.
Last Wednesday, I missed creative share wednesday!
First time I've missed in probably WELL over a year.

So last Thursday was Mikey's 22nd Birthday,
and as I told you I made a
 REALLY AWESOME BBQ Pizza
for his Birthday dinner.
Oh my HEAVENS it was delicious.

So I'm thinking with a little bit of re-vamping,
It could easily be turned into
a

CALZONE!
which is simply a Pizza tucked into a nice little portable package.

SO here we go.

INGREDIENTS:
Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
1 Bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce
1 Package of Lloyd's Shredded Barbecue Chicken
1 bag of shredded Mozzarella Cheese
1 Small Red Onion Chopped

DIRECTIONS:
Roll out the crescent roll dough
In a small saucepan, Saute the chopped onion until they are slightly brown and tender.
on one half of the dough, smooth a layer of BBQ sauce to cover the dough
[REMEMBER only on one side, because the other side will be pulled over the top to enclose all of the stuffing inside]
Sprinkle the sauce with Cheese, as well as the onion.
Heat Lloyd's Barbecue Chicken according to the directions on the package, after they chicken is heated,
Cover the layer of cheese with the Barbecue evenly!
sprinkle with more cheese, and even a little more BBQ sauce.
NOW, Take the empty half of the dough and stretch it over the top of the stuffing, pinching the two sides together to seal the opening.
Once the entire thing is sealed and looks like a neat little pocket,
Take a knife and cut about 3 small slits in the top so that it will allow air to escape during the baking process.
Now pop that into a preheated 375 degree oven, and bake for about 30 minutes or until the crescent is golden and flaky!

Hope you enjoy!

Yum! This sounds like Derrick's kind of meal. I LOVE Lloyd's BBQ. We put it on potatoes all the time!
