Baked Chicken Soup

It is Wednesday....Creative Share day!

A while back,
My friend Jessica and I went to dinner.
We had a some really Delicious soup, that we BOTH just really LOVED.

Well,
She reminded me of it tonight
so I found the recipe and thought I should share the goodness.

Baked Chicken Soup


INGREDIENTS

1 tbs butter
1/8 cup all purpose flour
2 cans chicken broth
2 cups cooked (baked and shredded) chicken
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 pack italian dressing mix
1 cup skim milk
2 tbs lemon juice
1 tbs white wine
fresh parsley
2 cups cooked long grain rice

DIRECTIONS

In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. after the butter melts,
add in the flour and mix until smooth.
slowly poor in chicken broth and stir until all of it is smooth.
add chicken, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and italian dressing mix then bring to a boil.
reduce the heat and simmer for 12 minutes.
add lemon juice, milk, wine, and parsley.
reduce the heat to low, then add in the cooked rice.
cook until rice is cooked through.
