Solid Roots

I just want to take a few minutes to tell you what an AMAZING Sunday I had.
SUNDAYS are at the top of my "Favorite day of the week" list.
For several several reasons...
[Being with my Family ALL DAY being a really big reason]

BUT today,
we had a "guest Pastor"
who happened to be my VERY FIRST youth pastor, when I was just a shy little girl who was scared of everything and everyone. [ahahahaaa SERIOUSLY]
I LOVE HIM AND HIS PRETTY WIFE DEARLY....even to this very day.... ten years later!

I mean you don't understand the extent of my attatchment to them.
They were newlyweds when they became youth pastors, they had no children, so of course we [the youth] LIVED at there house. Literally! So from age Twelve to fifteen, they were solid!
They were there for me through thick and thin, ups and downs, the roller coster of being a teenager...
BUT
When I was fifteen, My perfect little world came crashing down when God placed it on their heart to move and pastor a church four hours away.
I was devastated to say the least.  When I found out, I remember just falling over on my mom's lap and just crying and crying.
Ughhh just thinking about it gets me teary-eyed.

I had perfect reasons to be devastated. Those two peoples have had the most dramatic impact on my life of probably anyone else that I have came across in my life. I know for a fact, that they are part of the reason that I have stayed so grounded and firm in my beliefs, and for that, I am forever EVER greatful!

I LOVE YOU DONNIE AND CARRI
you will never know what an impact you had and still have on my life.
Thank you!

So my day was PERFECT because I got to see them.
not to mention, Donnie had an AWESOME message!

Im So sleepy and need my bed NOW!
goodnight and sweet dreams friendies

such a sweet little note to them! Speaking as a Pastor's wife it's nice to hear those comments because they don't come very often! Thanks for sharing the love with them...because I'm positive it means a lot to them!

What a darling couple, glad that you were able to visit with them and that they helped improve your relationship with God! That's lovely.
