Redirection

Itsy Bitsy Brianna Blog was a gigantic part of my life for seven wonderful years. After dedicating so much time to it, continuing to work full time, planning a wedding and trying to simply do life, I got a tad bit burned out with trying to continue my little space here in the blog world. So without any sort of announcement, I decided to step away from the blog world until I could redirect my entire life. When life throws you crazy curve balls, sometimes it takes a while to regain your footing and to figure out exactly where life is taking you and thats exactly what happened to me.

2015 to 2017 were years of searching for me. Yes, some HUGE things happened to me between those years. I met the love of my life, got engaged, and married. All incredible things that I tried to document as much as I could. However there were moments in those same years that really took a toll on the direction in my life. I took a job working that was insanely taxing on me mentally and physically. I truly believe everything happens for a reason and although I was miserable in that season of my "career" I did learn a lot about myself and how much I am actually capable of accomplishing on my own. I also learned how much I can tolerate when other people simply abuse your talents and work ethic and completely take you for granted. I also learned that I will never ever find myself in the position of letting another human treat me that way again. This job was horrible, yet a huge lesson and turning point in my life. This was when my blogging life really got put on the back burner and I just couldn't find any drive or energy to continue doing it.

Through all of that in 2017,  I finally worked up the courage to say I didn't deserve to live life so exhausted from a job and boss that wasn't worth an ounce of my energy, talent and time. I walked away from that environment and took any job I could find just to get away. This led me to many different happy places in life! I learned I have a gigantic love and passion for animals. I always knew I loved them, I just never knew to what extent.  In the past year I have worked and volunteered at a rescue where I really fell in love with capturing animals through my photography. Because of this, I still volunteer my time and talent to the Wags N Whiskers Rescue!!

At the end of 2017, an amazing opening became available working for one of the BEST photographers in the south. It was the same industry I had previously found myself ONE THOUSAND PERCENT miserable in. I was terrified this experience would end up the same as the last one where I was literally pushed to my limit day in and day out and just completely taken advantage of. It was scary. However, thanks to my husband, I realized it was worth the risk and in all honesty, there was no possible way it could be any worse than the previous situation. So, still reluctant, I applied and got an interview. After the interview I knew, this experience in this type of industry would be nothing like my first experience!! Thankfully I got the job and working for Matt has been a huge blessing in my families life. I now look forward to going to work and have that passion for work back that I had previously lost. It feels so good to feel like ME again! I am so so so thankful for the chance Matt took on hiring me and am so thankful for the changes its made in me as a person...I'm sure my husband is thankful too ;)

I say all of this to simply catch you up on life and give you a little bit of an insight to why my blog went on a little bit of a hiatus for almost an entire year. I also have found myself in a place where I am excited to get back to my little space here on the internet!!! I have taken some time to think about my little blog here and the direction I'd like it to go in. I plan on posting at least twice a week and the posts will be focused around my life as an Air Force Wife, Fur Momma and Photographer!

Thanks for reading and I hope you all are as excited as I am about me finally being back here at Itsy Bitsy Brianna. Stay tuned for more posts soon!!

SYNC {Part II}

Hi There! Just an update...I am still in gorgeous Florida!
As you can see, it has been gorgeous. The temperature has felt like fall.
So basically, it's been perfect.
This trip has been so much fun. I have learned so so much not necessarily from a photography standpoint but just from a creative standpoint.
I said it in a previous post, but there is just something about being surrounded by creatives that really put a fire under your tail. It gets your brain going a million miles per hour. Some people hate that feeling but I L I V E for that feeling.

Yesterday I felt like was planned specifically for me.
Stay tuned for details about that in a later post!
I'm off to get ready for our last day!!

Bye for now

Sync!

Hi There!!!

Tonight kicks off SYNC 2015
I am pumped.
Today Faithy is out at a kick starters class, so I have free time to do whatever I want really. So naturally I start by blogging. What do you expect right?!?
Sometime today, I am going to meet up with my friend Whitney! YAY
She and her family just moved a few months back. Im super excited about seeing her and her daughter sweet Charlee Bea. CB is the cutest thing. Swear by it.

So from what Faith tells me, I should probably really enjoy today while I can because things get crazy from the moment the conference actually starts.
I love new things. I'm so excited to honestly just be in the same breathing space as other creatives. Sometimes working for yourself...from home can be lonely, especially as artists. All of our creativity feeds off of each other and its something I miss terribly about working in the same room as Faith, as well as Frannie, Chris, Melissa, Donnie, Etc. Sometimes its trouble too haha :) But I have really realized how much it does make a difference creatively to surround yourself with creative people. Otherwise, it can make it easier to become the norm. And dear God, I don't want that....at all!!!

So yeah! Its going to be a fun filled next few days.
HAPPY FRIDAY FRIENDS

GOODBYE Alabama

I'm out of here and so dang excited.

Starting today I get to be back with my favorite "boss-lady" E V E R ! !
Faithy just gets my butt in gear and inspires the heck out me.
She never stops and I absolutely love it.

So today Faith and I head to Florida for a 5 day conference in beautiful Destin.
I can't wait to learn from some of the best and meet different photographers from all over.

It's going to be such a fun time but I'm mostly excited about being back working with and in the actual same room as Faith!!!

So this starts the beginning of my adventure and I'm so excited to see what doors God opens from here. I am kicking out every single doubt/worry/negative thought and trusting that God has given me this time for a specific reason. I don't know or have any idea whatsoever what it could be, but ultimately my goal is to be open enough to see Gods direction for me.

So get ready for a lot of TROPICAL photos because I'm a hard working beach bum until the end of February!

HALLOWEEN!

Hey Hey!!!
We are wrapping up Shoot FOURTEEN. Holy Heaven its been a whirlwind. But it sure has been fun a fun one.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN.
The images above are a ONE WOMAN show. Amanda Chapman Photography. Amanda is clearly clearly talented.
Stoop by her site and her instagram to see her 31 Days of Halloween.
Seriously the Shoals has some crazy talent!!

I haven't even had a chance to think about Halloween. So, no I will not be dressing up, and I also plan on going to see Katie Bug and Harper tonight HOPEFULLY and thats about it other than cleaning my apartment. The life of a mid-twenties gal who lives alone with no one to help clean :) haha PLUS I am expecting company in the morning, otherwise I would be out having fun tonight rather than cleaning!

Ooohhh, but my cleaning night is totally worth it because its all for my man who I finally finally finally get to see tomorrow.

FINALLY.

and I can NOT wait. Its seriously been a MONTH since I have seen him.
YAY!

I'm off to tackle the day!
Bye now

Birthday Week

Hi there.

I am keeping my Baby Gyspster Marie this week.
So the end of my Birthday week is coming to a close. It's been a fun week as a whole. Going to Nashville and learning from Scott Kelby was definitely a top highlight of the week. The man is super talented, knows his stuff, is Insanely well traveled and is absolutely hilarious. I learned & laughed all at the same time all day on Tuesday. Since Tuesday, I haven't stopped thinking about learning and learning and learning more.

BUT I must say my absolute f a v o r i t e part of the week was on Wednesday! Faith did a shoot of me along with my Momma. It was way way way too much fun! I love shoots!!! They are probably one of the very top things I love about my job.  Being behind the camera on a shoot is insanely exhausting!! I knew that part all too well...but I really had no idea how exhausting it is to be on the other side, in front!!

It was the first time that Faith & my Mom had ever met. I kept telling both of them that they would be trouble together because they are WAY too much alike. So I already knew that those two would have a blast together. We all three laughed and cut up all afternoon. Seriously it was such a fun day and made my birthday week so so special to me!

My actual birthday, well....that day was just weird and I won't get into that.
Overall its been a really fun, blessed, awesome, adventurous week.
26 is off to a  l o v e l y start!!

Enjoy your Saturday!!!

FBP Nashville.

HAPPY WEDNESDAY LOVES!!!
This week has been way too much fun so far and its only Wednesday.

Monday I drove back to Florence from my weekend in Birmingham. I love that drive. For some reason it never gets old. I got an awesome new hat one day last week and had been dying to wear it. I finally wore it on Monday. I'm in l o v e with the hat. It's by Levi's Jeans. It's red. It's Simple.

Monday's work day felt like it didn't even exist it went by so fast!
Such a productive day.

Yesterday, Faith and I went to one of my favorite places, Nashville, Tennessee.
We went to a Photography Conference by KelbyOne. Scott Kelby is hilarious and really really knows his photography stuff.

The day went by way way way too fast.
I didn't want it to end at all.
Faith and I have so much fun together. She's the sweetest lady. She is such a blessing to me!!! I really don't know what I would be doing with my life now if God wouldn't had put her in my path. Now I honestly can't even, nor do I want to imagine my life without her & Dan being a part of it. They really are like family to me!

After the fun day of learning, learning, and learning, we went to one of my favorite restaurants in Nashville.
T A V E R N !
{the photo above is not from the Tavern, I'm not really sure what it was called but it had the cutest seating outside. So chill. So I had to include the photo!}

Faith had the Fish Tacos and I had the Kale Salad...then of course we had S'mores for desert! It was so fun:) and so so delicious.

So that was my trip to Nashville yesterday. Like I said, I didn't want to leave at all. I love that place! I love the feeling it gives me, the people are insanely friendly, there are so many interesting places and interesting people to see. Faith and I are already planning our next trip!

How has your week been so far?? My Mom is coming to Flotown today!! So so solo excited!
Bye now...Hope you enjoyed my photos.

Savor.

It's so so true...and I do believe that is why Sunday is my absolute favorite day of the week.
There is something about it that is so renewing.

This week is already flying by. So much to do and so so little time to do it, it seems. BUT I want to focus this week on savoring every second of this week. Things are drastically about to change in my life and its going to be WEIRD to say the least.

My Best Friend and other trouble making half is about to be a married women. My incredible boss is moving. My career is taking on a new and exciting adventure and things are looking super UP.
I'm just trying to savor these moments with two people that really mean so much to me.

HAPPY TUESDAY LOVES.
I'm off to the gym!

Bitter Sweet

Today is a bitter sweet day for me. Working at PSI is what got me back here in Florence and I couldn't be happier about living in a town that is thriving with creativity and is literally exploding. I l o v e Florence so so much and am so thankful that I am back here. Working at PSI was great for the most part, but like every job there were some things that I hated. But there are also things that literally brought out a person in me that isn't me. Someone mean, someone angry, someone bitter, someone disrespectful, etc. {I know thats horrible but TRUE} and if you know me...you K N O W that those are the furthest thing from Brianna characteristics. DO NOT get me wrong. PSI is a wonderful business and the people are great. I will definitely be missing it.

So this is what I am trying to get to...Today is my last day at PSI. I will miss working with my Best Friend {Frances} every single day. I will miss Tommy Tank and his HILARIOUS moments of just speaking the Gods-honest truth. He's SO honest. I will miss Aubrey & Lee!!! These two guys are truly some of the greatest guys I have ever met. SO SWEET! Aubrey gave me the most RANDOM projects that needed time to play with an figure out. I always loved those projects. Lee just liked me so much he never gave me any jobs to do! I will miss Darrell's sarcastic and witty remarks :) LOVE them...so hillarious. I will miss Mary the cute office manager and our nail polish talks, as well as her talking me off the edge of the cliff. I will miss John Charles who got stuck in the elevator {he is so much like my little brother}, I will miss taping, glueing, assembling, stuffing, folding, and repeating all things Stationery for the BEST fine stationery specialist in the SHOALS. You are AMAZING at what you do Frances and I'm SO sad when I think about us not working together. I'm going to miss being downtown. I'm going to miss my walks to Rivertown. I'm going to miss regular customers like sweet Miss Jane. I'm going to miss pretty bright girly things all around. I will miss Lou asking me about CODs why they aren't paid. Of course, there are TONS of things I will miss, and I could name these ALL DAY LONG.

I couldn't pass up the chance to really be able to use the creativity & talent that I was given. I have been patient. I have worked hard and it feels good to know that somewhere along the path, someone saw my passion, love, & dedication. They didn't just see it, but they REMEMBERED ME for it, and they appreciated it. Oh appreciation...I'm not even going to go off on a tangent about that.

So Like I said in the beginning, today is COMPLETELY Bitter Sweet and I hope I can keep myself together today. Tommy Tank, Frances & I have a coffee venture this morning!

Bye now,

black&white

hey there!
You all know I adore B&W photos. I actually love them far more than colored photography. When I was in college, one of my photography classes was an amazing class where I got to work with film photography and developed all of my own photos in the dark room. Gah it was such a blast! And I immediately fell in love with BLACK & WHITE!

Here are a few b&w photos I am digging.

Pretty great photos huh.

Finally tomorrow is Friday and i get to see my family. It's been a LONG time since I saw them last. Ready for a family filled weekend!
